I’ve been holding off on buying CAPCOM’s Monster Hunter: World (MH:W) until more of the issues on PC were ironed out as well as waiting for a sale (so finally purchased it today due to some deals on the game).
Steam is currently running a sale for the base game at 34% off ($39.59) while the Deluxe Edition is 32% off ($51.30). For an even better deal though, Fanatical is running a 48 hour Star Deal for the base game at 46% off ($32.39) until their Steam code “supplies last” and also has the Deluxe Edition discounted at 35% ($45.49) with 2 days left as of this entry (I bought the latter).
A high resolution texture pack weighing in at nearly 30GB was added as a free DLC on April 4th which allows running the game with much better fidelity (the above is the game running with the base textures at 1080p) so long as you have the graphics card and video memory (recommended is something like a GTX 1070 or higher with 8GB of video ram).
UPDATE: The Star Deal is now over for the base game but they have another sale (40% discount – $35.99) for the next few days
