Nearly SIX MONTH’s after Kakao Games Europe took over the publishing of ArcheAge and ArcheAge Unchained, an update to the missing items has been finally provided (667 items). This is a followup to the original missing item compensation (since there were a lot of these that were not present and substituted for in the global build that Kakao Games ended up utilizing).
Kakao Games Europe admitted (again) about their FAILURE to resolve all of this in a timely manner. A lot of that blame belongs to XLGAMES (it didn’t seem like a priority to them which makes sense since they’ve been working full bore with ArcheWorld) while Kakao Games Europe can be blamed for not doing proper due diligence with the differences between the global build and the custom one that Gamigo had been using. The missing items are supposed to be distributed after their May 12th maintenance.
Most of my remaining missing items are in this list. The problem with this taking 6 months to resolve, is that it will be irrelevant for players on Unchained if their complimentary subscription time has already expired, and they rightfully aren’t going to pay additional money to Kakao Games for subscription time in order to be able to login again to at least claim them (since system mail expires after an year). At bare minimum, they should provide at least a weeks worth of subscription time (claimable from the account web inventory) so that players who no longer have game time, to claim and store those items (just in case things change down the road; and I believe they will eventually end up merging both versions of ArcheAge together when the existing fresh start servers run their course; I believe at that point towards the end of this year where it will end up being a massive merge where the business model will end up being the legacy one (where you can at least still login)).
In the mean time, players that had 180 days of complimentary subscription time are staring at what is their final month of free time where they’ll need to decide whether or not to give this horrible company more money. In the mean time, I keep seeing more open plots of land opening up as some folks packed up on their own as they decided not to resub (I just snapped up a 44×44 and 24×24 next to me, and theres still open spots for three more 24’s). I myself am just bidding my time until my own time runs out while watching this game depopulate on a weekly basis.
