Today is basically the last day of the gold and real money auction houses, and it’s going to be interesting to see what happens in the final hours leading up to the maintenance that will precede the actual closure.
Myself, I’ve been offloading excess commodities and selling white items (they sell immediately); it’s actually ridiculous how much gold I ended up making this weekend just selling what amounts to stuff that will be obsolete in a week for anyone upgrading (it’s ended up being way more than I ever made on softcore ever since the AH went live as the majority of my gold came from a few larger hardcore sales).
I ended up “transferring” a few million gold to my other accounts just to have some starter amount in case I ever choose to upgrade them to the expansion (right now, it doesn’t make sense for me to upgrade them due to soul binding; I’m basically just going to eventually move all my legacy gear to level 60 characters as a sort of time capsule to what my 1.0.x characters were like).
