For those who purchased the Collector’s Edition, some folks are experiencing what looks like a defect issue with their mouse pads. The following is a picture of someone’s mouse pad from a newly unboxed copy of the game. Others have also mentioned it on the forums in this thread (which is where the following was posted).
It’s clearly a manufacturing defect with some pads. The top plastic part is heat glued to the underlying pad and may have been a defect that occurred once it cooled.
I initially was just going to keep my copy sealed, but decided to open it up and check. Mine is okay.
