[PTR] Diablo III – Necromancer Beta – Finally hit 60

The reason it is slow going getting to 70 is that I can only play this game for around an hour before I have a need to just stop.  And I have only been playing it 1-2 days out of the whole week.  The fact that I don’t login and play this beta for hours on end is not surprising.  None of the past base issues that I’ve had with “Rift”-ablo has changed.

I also don’t want to get powerleveled to 70 since I want to see how the class feels dinging each level while I use items in-line with those levels.  Note that this is my adventure mode character (I haven’t touched the story mode one since level 14 which is just the early part of act 1).

A couple of other colleagues/friends that also got into this beta have already stopped playing (most pleveled to 70).

With that said, there are some things that I do like about the class itself once the majority of skill runes begin opening up at this level.  My active skills for Command Golem and Command Skeletons do more damage now which help supplement Corpse Explosion where there is now more tactical play.  And there are more options for life recovery or exchanging vitality for damage or crowd control.

The key thing is I haven’t looked up any builds/watched any videos of level 70 greater rift play for the end game meta because once I hit 70, I want to test out all the sets and form my own impression.  Besides the kind of ugly looking male/female portraits (don’t know if they are incomplete placeholders but they just seem low budget and out of place), the graphics, effects, animation, combat, and aesthetics are typical high quality Blizzard.  If given a choice of having to play Diablo III or MU Legend for a day, it would be Diablo III hands down (that is unless the MU2 combat gets some tweaks in OBT) as even the Necromancer’s combat feels very satisfying.

With ArcheAge having a double everything bonus thing this weekend as well as TERA’s 5th anniversary token Bluebox event going on, I don’t know if I will get any beta play time in this weekend.
