I don’t think Webzen Dublin really understands they are killing the game the longer core systems like trading, sending mail, and the trade broker are kept offline w/o other parts of the game temporarily adjusted to compensate. Player to player trading is essential for example to facilitate the randomness of gear drops where someone else in your party may get your class’ drop (and vice versa). The mail system allowed players to send gold to their alts (since there is no way to bank it like how some other games do). And the trade broker (auction house) is pretty self-explanatory.
Anyone in a guild can temporarily utilize the guild bank to move items between players in the guild. None of this however addresses how the temporary disabling of those key systems is strangling the rest of the game which is going to cause players who have no real ties to the MU franchise, to exit.
Early top players have had their inventories overflowing with Ancient tiered items which they could have sold. All of that is losing value for them and as more of the casual players like myself get better geared, the demand isn’t going to be there. The same situation is going to exist for Mythic tier gear (which I am personally in no rush to get since the main benefit is they have higher roll ranges compared to Ancient).
Plus this is only level 65 gear. All of this is temporary filler until the level cap is raised (then rinse and repeat until the final max level). Once my Platinum from the Frontier pack expires in a week, I’m going to take a break until they figure this out and also come up with a compensation plan.
