I posted at the beginning of the month that I found GoodGames (Thailand) Devilian server inaccessible along with the main website.
The main website is back online but the game client does not launch due to an “error downloading metadata”. I originally thought the service had been finally shutdown but it looks like that is not the case.
Back in late October, the company took down all their gaming servers in order to pay final respects to the countries late king who had passed away an year earlier (the country held an year of official mourning before the final funeral took place on October 27, 2017).
The outages were deemed temporary but something has obviously broken with their Devilian server. There’s been a few players who have posted to GoodGames that they cannot access the server. A GoodGames’s GM last posted on their Facebook page in mid-November and there has been no official word that this was an intentional shut down of the service.
Therefore, this seems to be one of those cases where the server did eventually go down and it is taking awhile for someone to get all of it back running again (in this case, it might be the update server).
