A shorter test of an updated build is planned for later this week (mainly for the crashing issues as well as the client FPS lag that occurred primarily in Velika). Characters from this past weekends OBT will remain available for this upcoming test.
I leveled my archer up to only 26 in hopes there would be an additional test conducted so that there is something to do without starting another from scratch again.
While the overload of players created these frustrating issues, the world of TERA really comes alive when there are just so many other players running around and leveling in areas that normally are dead zones on the PC version. Since there aren’t many MMO’s of this sort on console, there really is no shortage of players that will be continually trying the game once it goes live.
Many console players who never had played the game before, often times commented how fun it was. I realize part of it is that “fresh car smell” thing and I also believe that many players enjoy the leveling experience. End game is usually a whole different story though in these types of MMO’s. I’m not sure if Bluehole made adjustments in that area since a part of playing from the couch, is faster pacing.
But since the level cap for this open beta was only level 38, it’s hard to tell at this time if the level 58+ game play will mirror the PC version.
