Back on July 22nd, I wrote the following:
This being Webzen here, they have a trigger finger with opening new servers like they did at launch with MU Legend (both in Korea and the global version) and when they previously handled ELOA and ASTA; only to quickly realize they needed to merge them back.
This is a company that fails to learn from past mistakes as they’ve changed their mind and plan to open up a new server (since the Steam launch will also coincide with their Noria update).

Again (as noted in the above linked post), Webzen had just completed the last server merge on July 10th (which was to merge the fresh start server they created with the server that had resulted from the previous merge in March). The rationale was similar to the first major merge where the resulting server was a legacy one, while a new fresh start one was created for a content update (in that prior case, the release of the Spellbinder/Emphasizer class).
The Noria update itself raises the level cap to 70 (from 65) and well, I’ll just link their preview regarding what is coming. I’ll probably just level my 65’s to the new cap and try out some of the new content but won’t really stick around past the completion of whatever event they plan to run since I don’t really expect the combat or mechanics to feel any better.
So I guess NA/EU players there can look forward to another server merge around the November or December timeframe.
