As noted previously regarding Bluehole’s decision to rename the company, an extraordinary general meeting was held in order to approve the new corporate name. The parent company will now be known as Krafton instead of Bluehole, Inc. The development division which handles both A:IR and TERA will still retain the Bluehole name. Basically, the design and development portion; what used to also be known as Bluehole Studio (when the parent company also shared that name before both were shortened to Bluehole), will now clearly be seen as its own subsidiary unit under the Krafton parent (and thus less confusing now that the corporate and design studio identities are now separated).
The organizational change with the new KRAFTON Game Union is again supplanting the previous Bluehole Alliance where the emphasis is being placed on allowing the sharing of design/development resources while allowing each subsidiary unit, to also act independently (like before).
Bluehole.net now redirects to the Krafton.com domain (the contents of the site is still wholly outdated though where it hasn’t been updated in over an year).
