ArenaNet announced that the End of Dragons expansion is being delayed until 2022 (it was originally slated to be released later this year). The studio cites the challenges created by the coronavirus pandemic as a consideration for needing more time for the project. It should also be noted that ArenaNet itself was impacted by internal changes in 2019 that resulted in layoffs as well as veterans leaving the company over the course of that year (this likely had a latent effect during 2020 when COVID forced companies to work remotely for most of last year).
IMHO, this was a good decision to make rather than trying to rush out something that may have turned out to be underwhelming (especially considering how well Path of Fire was). In the mean time, the company continues to offer up prior Living World seasons for free with weekly episode unlocks (Return to Living World Season 3 began on June 29th).
