Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem to be released on February 13, 2020

The news of the final release date was delivered in the above video by Wolcen Studio CEO, Daniel Dolui (their Steam site has a written transcription as well).  The release is being delayed by two weeks (originally slated for a January 2020 launch) in order to “provide a high quality, polished experience at launch”.
The tail end of the video also has a preview of the character customization system which was disabled during the beta previews (and is revamped from the original early access version) where (excuse me for being blunt) the character models looked like ass (in the sense that they were beaten with the ugly stick).  It’s a bit better in this preview but still nothing to write home about (I guess it doesn’t really matter that much given that this is an isometric camera and your character will be wearing head armor anyway).
I do have some issues with this game (my impressions were on beta 1.2.2 from back in October).  It will be interesting to finally be able to quest past the Act I content where the character level in this game has pretty much stalled out at around level 20 in all of its design iterations. Plus as I’ve mentioned in recent months, my personal interest in ARPG’s has fallen nearly off of my radar (I don’t see Wolcen doing much to spur re-interest in the genre).
Nonetheless, it is still great to finally see this game coming out from its original Kickstarter (when it was known as Umbra) and Steam Early Access given how so many other projects actually fail to deliver an actual playable product.
