Source: http://forums.archeagegame.com/showthread.php?357276-Regarding-ArchePass-Compensation-Nov-20
The update covered this weeks ArchePass downtime compensation as well as status on the modified version which will be deployed onto a test environment server (and will run for an unspecified amount of time). This is something (open ended testing schedule) which I noted that needed to be done once Gamigo receives the initial revised ArchePass test build. I will repeat however that this is the sort of test schedule that should have taken place before even declaring the build that ended up being used for the October 15th launch, as the “golden master” release candidate.
The fact that there is a good chance this core system (which differentiates the buy to play Unchained version from the free to play one) will end up being offline for a month, means we are actually playing on a beta build on a live production environment (effectively making the executive producer Merv Lee Kwai, negligent in having signed off on the build that was used for the October 15th launch).
I still stand by my assertion that because of this and how the bugs in that system ended up being abused and ultimately deemed as non-exploits even though it contradicts the terms of use (specifically part 11, code of conduct under section C which I’ve grabbed below), that Gamigo really needs to bite the bullet and offer players the opportunity to request a refund (EU players have better recourse since the game as released is now feature incomplete from what was advertised).
The pertinent part is: Using or exploiting errors in design, features which have not been documented, and/or “program bugs” to gain access that is otherwise not available, or to obtain a competitive advantage over other players
This is pretty much standard and the majority of companies consider this as exploitive behavior. This is why I keep pointing out the absolute incompetence of the team that were retained from Trion who are now continuing this high level of incompetence with Gamigo and why I cannot seriously recommend even buying the game. I myself gave them the benefit of the doubt (and can only blame myself for thinking they would do any better) and am documenting my experiences in terms of how this team is handling the game.
