I’m not surprised that the “zero tolerance” policy wouldn’t be up to snuff once it became clear that Gamigo failed to understand the bug (where you get the same set of missions). This is on them for not running a proper alpha/best as opposed to a rushed PTS (I originally opined that they should delay the launch date to the end of October); but that is how things were run during the Trion days and this is what happens when you have the same (incompetent) people running it.
The team has been reviewing accounts that were initially banned as part of the World Boss Quest ban wave. We banned all accounts that killed a number of world bosses close to the daily cap multiple days in a row. Economy on some of the original servers (especially NA-Wynn) is effectively toast due to all of the gold and progress these folks were able to acquire. From what I also understand, this happened to occur mostly on the East (Haranya) faction on Wynn. What I do know is that once one faction dominates (both numbers and gear progression), that is the beginning of the end (players in the weaker faction end up moving to a different server (once transfers become available) leaving it to be free farmed by the dominant one). I’m playing this casually but making my dwarf the main character (since I played mostly Harani on the free to play version).
I managed to finally hit level 40 (got into queue early after maintenance ended so I got to spend more time playing) today and plan to enter into potato farmer mode soon (I casually leveled from 45-55 on original ArcheAge via planting and gathering on my unprotected farm in the mountains); here, I’m just going to burn most of my labor making tax certificates since it gives decent XP and just grow what I can on my 8×8 and gather what I can for my yet to be placed cottage. Once they open up character transfers, I will weigh my options for getting off Wynn.
