ArcheAge Unchained Play Statistics For This Week

This is a followup to my initial launch day experience.

Hours in queue:  18 (give or take 30-45 minutes)
Total actual play time: 5 (give or take 15-30 minutes)

On Friday (the 18th), I had been queued for almost 2 hours and got in just before the servers were brought down on NA for maintenance.  Today, I spent at least 3 hours in the queue (this was several hours after land was opened) and ended up CTD’ing after around 45 minutes of play.  No disconnect grace implemented yet so once I restarted and saw I was 2k in the queue, decided not to bother.

This is still better than some other folks though who haven’t even been able to get their character out of their starting zone over the past few days due to work and long queues by the time they got home.

Part of the problem are all the AFK queue dodgers (the jury rooms in Marianople and Austera were filled with AFKers or characters auto-running against the wall Friday evening when I left).  This is with a complete lock now on character creation on Wynn.  These slow queues are what happens when the backend physical infrastructure isn’t up to snuff (and not helped when Gamigo is known to try and cheap out/perform short cuts).

I’m working on a longer post as far as whether or not I’m recommending this version of ArcheAge to others.
