VALOFE Global has now officially taken over as the publisher for Riders of Icarus in NA and EU. Migration for existing character data will continue taking place until February 26, 2020. I did the pre-migration which gave a VALOFE reward package; my character data transferred without issues. Other players have encountered issues though including loss of data, actually seeing the wrong account, and other problems. This might be related to a database issue for those players who have characters on multiple servers (there are currently three); VALOFE mentions they will be working with WeMade to address these migration issues.
Unlike the Nexon launcher, VALOFE’s VFUN launcher needs to be initiated from their website. The launcher patching system (where it checks for updates and applies them as needed) is excruciatingly slow though (it takes several minutes every launch).
The company will be running some events to commemorate the change and promises to be more active with the game.
