Netmarble Japan Releases TERA Origin Trailers and CBT Info

TERA Origin is a re-work of what was known as TERA M (released in South Korea only) that is being targeted at the Japanese market (where the TERA franchise has remained popular on both PC and PlayStation 4).  The development is being handled by Krafton’s (formerly Bluehole) SQUALL subsidiary.
As can be seen in the following trailers, the artwork has been redone for some models and cel-shaded animations is used for animated cutscenes.  The Raven system seems to follow a similar formula as other games with battle pets where collectible cards can be used to summon these companions which provide extra bonuses in combat.  Just quickly seeing some of the cards being shown in the trailer, it reminds me of Devilian’s Talisman card system (which simply provided bonus attributes as opposed to summoning actual combat companions).  No word yet on which voice actors were used.  Krafton is hoping to capitalize on TERA’s continued popularity in Japan with this mobile version that has been tailored to that market.
