TERA Classic Server Event (EU) launches on February 12th at 2PM CET

Details on the Gameforge site: https://en.tera.gameforge.com/news/detail/patch-notes-27-the-classic-server along with a detailed FAQ (located at the bottom).

A separate launcher installer allows pre-loading the classic game client prior to the actual opening (requires 60GB of initial freespace; 20GB of compressed download which takes up 32GB after installation completes).

As noted in my prior posting regarding K-TERA’s “classic” server event, it’s a nostalgic trip down memory lane (warts and all along with some changes to speed up the leveling and gear enchanting process).  As a time limited event server where progression can be rolled back over to the main server, it’s a nice diversion (along with being able to experience most of the original design before it got butchered by the newer teams who weren’t directly involved with the original design).

As for why En Masse Entertainment isn’t running a similar event for NA, the reason passed around in their Discord (still don’t know why companies use this as a medium for information like this but that is a rant for another time) is because their current TERA launcher isn’t able to handle multiple patches (they still haven’t managed to integrate TERA into their En Masse Launcher which houses most of their other titles; that launcher would have this ability).  So for the time being, best to not expect a similar event for NA.
