EME will be hosting a Twitch livestream at 2:30PM PDT on Friday (September 7) to cover and answer questions regarding the server merge that will taking place on September 18 (starting at 7AM PDT).

OpEd: Good thing I wasn’t a serious alt-a-holic on multiple servers since this is going to hurt players who maxed out their slots on the servers that are being merged together. I realize this is how the prior server merge was handled but this is just purely a bad way to deal with player accounts that happens to be over the limit (where players may need to delete characters with bound cosmetics, pets, and mounts associated with them). And there is nothing in the FAQ which highlights a process for getting those items unbound.
Pertinent information from the stream:
– 8 character slots will be given out via item claim on Tuesday (September 11 after 11AM PDT)
– The fate of Celestial Hills will be determined by how many players utilize the free transfer (to be determined by September 13th)
– Gold limit for transfers has been raised to 1 million
– EME will also look at edge cases individually
