Well, I do have to give Webzen kudos for the new and returning player packages they put together. The new player one is too big to screen cap (and I’m too lazy to edit that together). Their site has the information but a lot of it is to help new players close the gap a bit.
The following is for returning players with a similar level 65 benefit.
Where they went above and beyond was the 30 day Platinum service for players that previously had purchased any package with Platinum service. I’m under absolutely zero illusion that they’ve made a gigantic leap as far as managing the game. The point is that the above is how you try to encourage players to give the game a try again.
I already mentioned I was planning to level my 65’s to 70 but I wasn’t expecting much in terms of the event. The above will actually make the game play feel a bit more fun and that is the operative keyphrase; FUN. So as much as I have my grievances with Webzen as both a developer and publisher, whomever put this together did a really good job.
