Trion Worlds posted the final reminder regarding the closure of Devilian. Previous announcements had the time as 3PM Pacific (Google cache to show the original FAQ as of February 25th). The updated notice has the closing time moved up to 12PM noon Pacific (or 8PM UTC).
While this doesn’t affect a large number of players (given the sub-100 player counts in recent weeks), there was ample time to make this edit earlier (you know, out of common courtesy to those who do want to try to be in-game when the shut down actually happens). But this is Trion we are talking about. Not even the vast majority of their own employees have bothered playing or trying to engage with what little of the player base has remained to see it out until the very end.
Trion, you can spare this one Devilian player the patronizing attitude of “we want to make sure you are looked after” because you didn’t show any care about this community over the past 9+ months. I will personally miss this version of the game, my characters, and many players that I have met. I will NOT miss Trion Worlds one iota though.
