It’s actually an interesting discussion since it also brings up something that TERA’s former producer had talked about back in 2015 where he didn’t expect the Elin race to be as popular as it ended up being (the games original main race was the Castanic female).
I’ve also mentioned it here before; that the Elin race is where TERA makes its money. And yes, I have often times seen what the above video mentioned; how others often times comment that anyone who plays the “loli” characters in games like this as being pedophiles.
My retort to that is that it is more of an issue with those people to even be thinking/projecting that in the first place because they are the ones trying to sexualize these in-game avatars (or as the more reasonable folks have said, the ones syaing that those who play elins are pedophiles, are actually the ones with the issues with either projection or are closet pedos themselves). Many of us (myself included) play classes/races because they are cute, funny, different. I don’t play a game like TERA because of its incredible realism (sarcasm intended).
