Enchantment can be performed safely up to +7, but there’s a chance the enchantment level may be reduced on failure after that point. Also, be aware that starting from +9, the equipment might get destroyed if enchantment fails. Higher enchantment levels mean higher risk, so it’s better to use Jewels of Soul which slightly increase the success rate. The max enchantment level is +15.
Oh yes! The typical Korean “destroy equipment on failed enchantment” mechanic (this also existed in MU Online). The enchantment level reduction on failed attempted is another common one which I don’t really have a problem with (it’s just a maddening cycle of artificial grind).
The equipment destruction part though is going to be interesting for players who come into this game without having actually experienced that mechanic. +9 to +15 is going to be a significant grind (most games normally tend to do a +12 to +15 enchantment/evolution grind with level/evolution experience loss on failed enchant).
I would not be surprised if Jewels of Souls (JOS) end up being linked into the cash shop (either directly or indirectly). JOS also doesn’t prevent equipment loss on failed attempts (based on Korean server) so this is going to be fun to watch.
