The first 2.5 minutes show some parts of the new areas that are being introduced. The second part of the trailer shows off some of the other playable content in the second CBT.
One of the first things they highlighted is the sailing feature. I know that some folks when they first heard about this, envisioned it would be something like what exists in Black Desert Online or ArcheAge. This trailer bears out the reality with trying to implement that level of granularity and scale in a 2.5D isometric style game.
Your character avatar essentially morphs into a sailing ship where you have sailing specific functionality in terms of the UI and skills. The scale relative to everything else including the land and sea life, is very much exaggerated. As a result, the movement isn’t a smooth sailing motion either. In this style of game (isometric fixed camera view), I think it is fine and offers an alternative way to explore parts of the world which normally is inaccessible in these types of games.
The remainder of the trailer runs through the playable classes and how their UI’s now look as well as a sneak peek at some objective based game play. All of this is again on top of the level 1-30 questing content in the first CBT. And there is again only 10 days of time to play (not sure if they will also shut down daily again).
CBT2 applicant winners will be notified today (September 13th in Korea) while those who were selected for CBT1 are already guaranteed access.
