The folks who (mis)manage and (don’t effectively)lead their projects there are prime examples of the Peter Principle in action. And not all of this is reserved for the people who are in actual management positions there; it also extends to those who are in community management where they fail to perform their jobs on a regular basis.
The company has a track record of bungling rollouts; the latest one being ArcheAge 3.0 Revelation for North America. The good thing is I don’t play ArcheAge at any serious level. But I can relate to those who do where they enjoy the game and community of players they play with tremendously, but are also less than enthused with the continued incompetence of the publisher, Trion Worlds.
What is worse is the sheer level of amateurism and unprofessionalism with how certain individuals with the various Trion Worlds teams conduct themselves and/or their communication with the community. That itself reflects the disconnect that many higher up in the company have with their customer base.
I can attest how terribly managed Devilian has been since it launched in December 2015. Recently though (ever since the former community manager Sarah Walters left the company where the “Devilian Team” is now effectively just two people), it has gotten to the point of being pathetically laughable.
Players like myself cannot even get their rewards from contests that they hold for example (and I’ve made every single attempt to bring this to their attention using direct messages, bringing it up directly in chat when they live broadcast on Twitch, posting in several topics brought up by other players).

Providing feedback of any sort now is useless because besides from patronizing remarks that “our feedback is awesome”, nothing of substance comes out from it (all words, ZERO action). And there is a deeper reason for that when it comes specifically to Devilian (which Giko and I discussed on the side and something that he ended up creating a forum thread about) which is another in-depth entry I need to make here.
Because of the way this poorly run company handles itself and their published titles, it makes it very easy to not bother recommending others to play any of their games (especially if they are friends/people you like; I guess you could recommend them to those you dislike).
