Devilian – Generating gold

Unlike Diablo III, gold is valuable in Devilian.  Like most any MMO, there are currency sinks that are meant to keep the economy in check to prevent that currency from become meaningless (like how it has become in D3).

In Devilian, a small chunk of silver is sunk everytime you salvage, identify, use a waypoint within the same zone, trade items/gold/silver to another player, sell items on the auction house (there is a separate registration fee for listing an item though for Patron’s, that fee is waived).

But this is where the auction house comes in handy (since person-to-person trade can be time consuming).  I normally just throw un-id rares on there and don’t overprice them.  But some players are pricing low level rare set items for ridiculous prices.  I normally list mine for 1 gold or less and they all sell pretty fast while the ones asking for 2+ gold just sit there.

Identifying or salvaging them is pretty much a waste because both cost silver.  And if you just vendor them, you usually get less than 100 silver.  So the way I look at it, selling those items for 400 silver is better than what I’d get at the vendor.  Devilian form gear however is where the money is currently at though because those can easily fetch 5 gold and higher.

Unlike the auction house that used to exist in D3, you cannot acquire end game gear there.  Players have to run Hell dungeons to get a chance of getting that gear to drop.
