It’s no secret the amount of issues that I have with this game and the design choices made (many of them which I’ve grown to believe are intentional).
But there are so many in this community who clearly lack any form of logic and maturity period. What I’m referring to is just the 1-hour time slot that is being allotted to Diablo III as well as it’s relatively small floor presence at BlizzCon 2015.
Some of these players are taking it personally to the point where the way they are expressing it online, shows how seriously butthurt they are. By this, I mean idiotic topics like D3 is dead, does it hurt your feelings, Blizzard’s lame showing for D3, etc. To me, anyone who takes it that personally needs to get out of the house more often.
BlizzCon itself is mostly a marketing/PR event that essentially preaches to the crowd. And many attendees take part in it specifically to engage in real life with others in the community and for the atmosphere. And that is probably a difficult concept for some of these Diablo players who are taking it so personally since they probably have their own social dysfunctions where for whatever reason, D3 is the only game they can relate to (and they therefore cannot even understand what BlizzCon is about).
And that is just sad IMHO. Myself, I blog primarily about D3 but it’s not the only thing I play even though I am not a hardcore gamer either.
And just because they more than likely aren’t going to make any kind of announcement regarding the next expansion (nor any sort of teaser), that doesn’t mean there isn’t going to be one (but that is exactly what these same immature folks are spouting off about). It’s already predictable the amount of crying these folks are going to be doing after todays D3 panel is over when all they will end up covering is what content and changes are coming in the next patch.
Seriously, these folks hate the game so much but have such a dysfunctional attachment to it where they cannot quit. I have issues with the game but nowhere near these level of these folks since I play it within reasonable limits (where when it gets boring, I simply stop and do something else).
It’s no wonder I prefer playing it completely solo; just the thought of having to actually play with these sort of folks makes me shake my head.
