Major leak regarding D3X2 should be re-titled major speculation

Is NOT going to happen (by that, I mean any announcement of the next expansion at BlizzCon).

“This is a classic way Blizzard is disguising a major release.”

Whomever came up with this speculation totally forgot about the teasers that preceded Gamescom 2013 prior to the announcement (the following is linked directly to the original image).

There was also the series of teaser images that continued to fill in over several days at their Chinese partner’s (NetEase) site that after the 9th image, revealed a scene.

My point again is that Blizzard marketing has a tendency towards creating “pre-hype” with this sort of tactic.  They did it prior to the announcement of StarCraft II and did something similar for Diablo III prior to its announcement at Blizzard’s 2008 Worldwide Invitational.

And we currently have nothing like this with regards to the game leading into BlizzCon.

Will there be a second expansion?  More than likely yes as per what I wrote before when bringing up an older interview regarding Diablo III being the end of the trilogy (trilogy in regards to D1 through D3 as well as D3 itself being three parts; vanilla, RoS, expansion #2 <- though this one could change depending on how far they want to continue just building on the D3 engine).

How about them potentially just teasing something like the above at BlizzCon?  At this juncture given the impending release of Legacy of the Void, more details about WoW: Legion, more details about the recently announced Activision Blizzard eSports division, and the impending closed beta for Overwatch, I highly doubt anything like this will be done at the event.
