Unlike before, I rarely keep up with the info regarding the game. So I just casually learn about upcoming stuff like 2.2 as well as microtransactions being rolled out to the Asia region as a test bed.
I’m ambivalent on the microtransaction angle. I personally believe this is something that should have come out a long time ago since it is a no-brainer revenue source when it comes to stuff like cosmetic items (effects, transmogs, wings, etc). More character slots and stash tabs are something that I would probably take advantage of since I’m already muling a lot of items (given my poor luck with drops).
Yet, there is that other part of me where I’m already at my limits with giving this company any more of my money out of principle.
Normally, I would launch into further details but I’m just no longer excited by anything this Diablo 3 team announces anymore. I’ve detailed those reasons before but it all boils down to over promising and under delivering.
