Firebird’s Finery issue (hotfix)

Ok, this makes sense as to why I’m seeing such a big difference in live; the way it was working on the PTR was not intended (i.e. the damage was ramping up faster).  Sigh.

Honestly, it felt just about right on the PTR.  My character wasn’t even facerolling through T6 either.  Now, it feels much more on the ineffective side even though I can still solo clear T6 (which as I’ve noted before, T4 was where my wizard was at in terms of solo play though T3 was best for farming efficiency).

On PTR, I could also solo farm T6 effectively; now though (with the noticeably slower damage ramp up), I’m going to have to kick Nephalem Rift runs (for farming my Trial keys) to T5 as it is taking 15+ minutes just to get the Rift Guardian to spawn.  I then cleared the rest of the rift and it took an additional 10-15 minutes per (I always full clear since some of my best luck has occurred after the RG; like today, it’s a good thing I did this as well since I finally got a Velvet Camaral and a Uhkapian Serpent for my witch doctor – previously was using a rare mojo).

Addendum:

I need to make it clear that I am not pleased with how they made this change (how the set initially does less damage while it is ramping up compared to how it was working on the PTR).  Yes, I know that everything on the PTR is subject to change.

My issue though is they obviously knew that the way that the set was ramping up damage on the PTR, was not how they wanted it to work (yet they never bothered rolling out a fix on the PTR so that players would have a better idea as to how the set is supposed to perform).  Instead, it was a misleading preview.

This amidst all the other issues like hydra not working/scaling properly with the set, teleport still being awful (pathing issues still persist), mirror images AI still working poorly.  Then you have stuff like Electrify that still procs way too often.  Oh, they can hotfix player related issues really quickly but don’t do jack with lot of the environment/monster related ones.

Just more ammo as to why this dev/design team is full of fail.
