I put in a firewall rule on my router to block myself from accessing the Diablo III Battle.net forums. I also did the same on my iPad and iPhone using a custom blacklist rule on the adblock software that I use.
I don’t want to accidentally see anymore of the garbage there and be tempted to give my 2 cents, wasting my time in the process (better to just waste that time playing the actual game or doing something else) in what is a toxic shithole.
I started playing D2 ladder a few days ago, and it reminded me how I never bothered with the online community (albeit much smaller back then; I think I had only just one posting on the old Battle.net message board) when the game was new. Time to just go back and play games like this in ignorance bliss again.
