Patch 2.0.2 notes

The most interesting one to me is the steepening of the experience curve for Paragon 500 and higher.  So basically, there’s going to be an intersection point where folks like myself (low P100), will eventually catch up to those who hit P500.  Basically, I wouldn’t even bother with grinding out Paragon levels as this is currently the main indicator of some level of character progression (and why would I want to accelerate the inevitable of hitting that P500 wall).

And yes, I was playing for a bit when they actually came out of maintenance early; but it turned out to be too good to be true, as anyone in-game got immediately kicked when they went into emergency maintenance “due to some issues which they did not come across during internal testing”.  No, you cannot make this stuff up.  Blizzard has a really poorly designed/implemented/outdated backend infrastructure which results in these long maintenance windows (I already posted ad nauseum about this).

Update:  The rewards for repeatedly completing the same quest (without utilizing the “Reset Quests” button) have been reduced.

So guess what?  Players are just going to temporarily abuse the Reset Quest option because there are several early quests, that still yield a decent amount of experience.  The problem again is that it’s an outcome of the campaigns linear design (a failed one at that).  The only way they will “fix” this issue, is re-nerfing ALL experience/rewards from quests/events.  But that defeats the purpose of making the game play rewarding.
