February 14th Update: unsurprisingly, resetting does not yield the guaranteed legendary (only one is SK which is bugged). Killing the Butcher gave me only magic items. Each completed quest yields between 980k to nearly 3 million experience (plus an item; all have been blue). Bounties and Rifts in Adventure Mode will yield far more experience.
There are also some reproducible bugs with waypoints (like being able to port to some of the ones that are gated behind the quest initiation checkpoint) with the reset option. Also, for any character that has just one missing quest (easy to happen when having played a game in co-op for example where you accepted an invite that was beyond your solo progression), the reset option will not be available for that specific character.
This current client build (21962) is also crashtastic (crash to desktop variety as opposed to the deadlock process ones that many more are experiencing specifically when creating a game) where there is no set pattern; the client will sometimes crash when starting a game immediately after having launched it from the Battle.net Desktop App (BDA), other times, it will crash after leaving a game, and then at other times, it will crash when trying to start up a new game after having left a game. There are also periods where I can go through several sessions without the client crashing. The most annoying one is when it goes through the launch game from BDA, start/resume game, client crash, and then go through this repetitive cycle.
The above has been happening since build 20874 where it’s been getting worse (performed the usual clearing of cache and running scan/repair without any improvement; so it’s an issue with the client – the crash logs I’ve submitted also all point to the client’s main thread crashing).
With that, I’m done play testing/e-mailing feedback going forward.
