Someone asked about whether we’d ever see the ability for stuff like forum avatars/customization as well as in-game holiday items. My response:
Just curious if at some point we can have more customization on these forums
I have some choice words for the web development team in general which would probably get me a temporary ban if I were to type it out. Lost my entire posting history prior to August of this year after a BattleTag change (their backend re-indexing code is fail). The forum often times forgets your login (even though you’ve clicked that “keep me logged in” box when you hit that submit button when making a posting (so now, I always type up longer posts in a text editor and paste it in)… and there’s more (I no longer bother to submit these to the website bug report forum since they never addressed my issue with the post history loss after multiple tries).
So it’s not surprising we’re still stuck with the beta avatar and lack of customization. It’s representative of the quality level of the team handling this code.
in the game if there will be holiday items like Christmas hats or pumpkin heads lol?
The Diablo series will likely never see holiday items/events since the theme is about slaying demons.
Anyway, Diablo actually looks pretty good sporting a santa’s hat though….
Taking it a step further, imagine if Blizzard implemented cosmetic microtransactions where you could maybe turn your helmet into a set of headphones and a wizards orb into an iPod touch….
The possibilities and the rage inducing fits it would produce, could be of epic proportions xD
